Mississippi Mud Recipe
- 1 pkg. (2 layer) chocolate cake mix
- 1 pkg. (4 serving) Jello instant chocolate pudding
- 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 pkg. (12 ounce.) chocolate baking chips
- 1 c. chocolate syrup
- 3 c. miniature marshmallows
- Combine cake mix, pudding mix, lowfat milk, Large eggs and chips in large bowl.
- Mix by hand till blended, about 2 min.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 min, or possibly till cake springs back when lightly touched.
- Drizzle 1/2 c. of the chocolate syrup over hot cake.
- Sprinkle marshmallows proportionately over syrup and bake 5 min longer, or possibly till marshmallows are softened and lightly browned.
- Drizzle remaining syrup over marshmallows.
- Cold cake in pan and cut into squares, using knife dipped in hot water.
