Cuban Sandwich

  1. In nonstick 12-inch skillet, heat margarine over low heat.
  2. Meanwhile, assemble sandwiches: Split each roll horizontally in half.
  3. Lightly spread mustard on bottom halves of rolls (about 1 1/2 teaspoons per roll or to taste).
  4. Top each with one-fourth of ham, pickles, and cheese.
  5. Lightly spread mayonnaise on top halves of rolls (about 1 1/2 teaspoons per roll or to taste); place on top of sandwiches.
  6. Increase heat to medium and arrange sandwiches in center of skillet.
  7. Place heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) on top of sandwiches and cook 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts and rolls are browned on both sides, turning sandwiches over once.
