Cinnamon Sour Cream Coffee Cake
- 1 c. butter (room temperature)
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pt. (1 c.) commercial sour cream
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts, combined with 1 tsp. cinnamon and 2
- Combine butter, sugar and eggs.
- Beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Blend in sour cream.
- Sift flour with soda and baking powder into the creamed mixture.
- Add vanilla and blend.
- Spoon 1/2 batter in 9-inch tube pan which has been buttered and floured. Sprinkle in cinnamon-nut mixture over batter.
- Spoon the remaining batter in and top with the rest of nut mixture.
- Place in cold oven; set overn to moderate (350u0b0) and bake about 55 minutes.
- Serve warm or cool.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
