Apple Cream Pie

  1. In a large skillet, saute apples, sugar and lemon juice in butter until apples are tender.
  2. Cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth; gradually beat in 1 cup of milk, pudding mix and lemon peel.
  4. Add the rest of the milk, beat until it's thickened.
  5. Spread into pastry shell.
  6. Arrange the apples over the filling (make them pretty!
  7. ).
  8. Brush with preserves or jelly.
  9. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
  10. Brush with additional preserves if desired.
