Poached Pears.....from the Wine Country Inn

  1. Combine the lemon juice and water.
  2. Quarter, core and peel the pears, dipping them in lemon juice mixture as you go, to prevent browning.
  3. Place them in a crockpot and cover with apple juice.
  4. Add the grenadine and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  5. Cook on the low setting for about 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
