Napoleons California Style
- 0.5 (17 1/3 ounce) packagefrozen puff pastry sheets
- 12 cup prepared pesto sauce
- 12 cup drained chopped sun-dried tomato packed in oil
- Thaw the pastry sheet at room temperature for 40 minutes or until it's easy to handle.
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Unfold the pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut into 3 strips along fold marks.
- Cut each strip into 4 rectangles.
- Cut each rectangle diagonally to form triangles.
- Put the triangles, 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Remove the pastry from the baking sheet and cool on a wire rack.
- Split the pastries into 2 layers, making 48 layers in all.
- Set aside 16 pastry top layers.
- Spread pesto evenly among 16 bottom pastry layers.
- Top with another pastry layer and tomatoes.
- Top with reserved pastry top layers.
