Cold Cabbage Slaw
- 1 large green cabbage
- 1 large sweet red pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1/4 cup pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 rib celery, minced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (preferably homemade)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Use a large mixing bowl.
- Halve the cabbage and core.
- Cut into strips and small dice.
- Seed red pepper, cut into strips, and dice.
- Mince onion.
- Toss cabbage, red pepper, and onion with rest of ingredients.
- Chill 1/2 hour before serving.
