Julienne Burdock Beef Roll
- 200 grams Thinly sliced beef (or beef short plate or flank)
- 15 cm of a thick one Burdock root
- 1/3 Carrot
- 7 cm Japanese leek (the white part)
- 1 Enoki mushrooms
- 1 Cut Japanese rice cake (square)
- 1 Katakuriko
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Sake
- 1 1/2 tbsp Water
- Julienne the burdock and keep it in a water with vinegar to remove the harshness.
- Julienne the carrot and the Japanese leek and cut the rice cake into rectangles.
- Roll the vegetables with beef.
- Burdock and other vegetables and rice cake etc and roll.
- Pour olive oil in a frying pan and put the katakuriko-coated meat on the pan.
- Fry it until browned.
- Pour olive oil in a frying pan and put the meat on the pan.
- Fry it till they have a brown color.
- When the beef has a brown color, add the sauce in the frying pan.
- The sauce is soy sauce sugar, sake and water mixed together.
- Cover the frying pan with a lid and fry it in low to middle heat for a while.
- Be careful not to burn it!
- When the sauce has soaked in well in the beef, it's ready.
