Mackerel,Mushrooms& Papad
- 3 pieces fresh mackerel
- 300 grams white mushroom chopped
- 8 leaves of spring onions chopped
- 2 large tomatoes chopped
- 8 pieces green pepper (cut into halves )
- 4 pieces bay leaves
- 8 curry leaves
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 fresh lemon
- 3 garlic finely minced
- 2 tbsp paprika (reduce the amount as preferred i personally love hot chilli food)
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Chinese pepper
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- Mix all the ingredients for marinating in a large bowl.
- Marinate the fish for 4-5 hours in refrigerator.
- Heat oil in pan and fry the fish each side for 8-10mins
- In another pan fry the vegetables for a couple of minutes , add the fish on top close the lid and let it fry for another 5minutes in a low flame (do not burn)
- Serve hot with masala papad and chick pea salad :)
