Herman Double-Chocolate Brownies

  1. In bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugars.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  3. Stir dry ingredients together.
  4. Combine starter and vanilla, add alternately with dry ingredients to sugar mixture.
  5. Spread in greased 11 1/2x7 1/2x1 1/2 inch pan.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate and nuts on top.
  7. Bake in preheated 350F (180C) F oven 30 min.
