Polish Dog Sandwiches

  1. It doesnt get any easier than this.
  2. Remove the sausage from the package.
  3. Cut the sausage into small slices that will lay nicely on your bread.
  4. I like to cut mine in about 4-inch long and 1/4-inch thick slices.
  5. Pan fry the sausage on medium heat for about 5 minutes, give or take, until the meat is cooked through and bacon-like.
  6. Now get out your rye bread and spread on the mayo to your liking.
  7. Add some of the cooked sausage and lay a slice or two of Swiss cheese.
  8. Put on some sauerkraut (dont be shy with the kraut), add a couple pickle chips, and your other piece of bread.
  9. You have a simple, easy, and delicious sandwich that is great for a quick dinner.
