Cherry Cup Cakes
- 12 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup white sugar
- 2 cups unbleached white flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 12 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 (15 ounce) can sour cherries (well drained)
- cream butter and sugars, add egg beat till blended.
- mix together flour soda and baking powder.
- alternate flour mixture with buttermilk into the butter sugar mixture.
- After this is well mixed, drain cherries and blend into the batter.
- add almond extract.
- Use cup cake pan with liners, Fill each with aprox 2 TBS batter, Bake for 20 min at 350.
- They are done when a toothpick comes out clean.
