Grandmother Zetta's Chili

  1. Cook pinto beans in water ahead of time.
  2. Add salt to beans after they have cooked long enough to be tender (about 3 - 4 hours).
  3. In skillet, fry minced garlic and minced onion together in small amount of oil until brown.
  4. Drain well and add to beans.
  5. In same oil, thoroughly brown hamburger meat.
  6. Drain well and add to beans.
  7. Add remaining five ingredients to beans; mix well.
  8. Bring to boil and serve with crackers.
