Spanish Paella Recipe buddharocket

  1. To start, you will need a Paella pan, or just a cast-iron frying pan.
  2. Heat the pan with enough oil to cover the bottom.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of sliced green pepper, a tblsp of garlic and 4 or 5 4 ounce pieces of chicken thigh.
  4. Let that simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Then add 2.5 cups of short-grain rice.
  6. Immediatley after that, add 1 cup of chicken stock or fish stock or vegetable stock.
  7. Now add a few pinches of Saffron (this is a very important ingredient, so dont miss this step).
  8. Also, add about a tblsp.
  9. of tomatoe paste on top of the rice.
  10. Cover the dish and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
