Canapes With Lemon Herb Glaze Recipe
- Pumpernickel bread with cream cheese and sliced smoked salmon Buttered salty rye with sliced egg and caviar Salty rye with horseradish, chili sauce, tiny shrimp
- 1 2/3 c. Water
- 1/8 tsp Peppercorns
- 1/2 x Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp Dry dill
- 1 pkt (3-ounce) lemon-flavored gelatin
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 dsh Cayenne pepper
- 3 Tbsp. Vinegar
- Place on a rack and top each canape with 2 to 3 Tbsp.
- Lemon-Herb Glaze.
- Lemon-Herb Glaze: Bring water to simmer; add in pepper corns, bay leaf, and dry dill.
- Cover, and simmer for about 10 min.
- Strain.
- Dissolve gelatin, salt, and cayenne in the warm liquid.
- Add in vinegar.
- Refrigeratetill slightly thickened.
- Spoon mix over canapes.
