Beef And Bulgur Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb good quality beef steak or possibly roast - (to 2 lbs)
- 1 c. minced onions
- 2 x carrots sliced thinly
- 1 c. beef broth from base or possibly canned
- 1/4 c. red wine
- 1 c. bulgur Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- Layer vegetables in crock pot; trim beef of all visible fat and cut in strips about 3/4-inch thick and add in to the pot.
- Pour broth and wine over all and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hrs.
- Add in bulgur and cook on HIGH till bulgur is tender, adding a little more broth or possibly water if necessary.
