Liempo tim (Chinese style of Pata Tim)
- 1/2 kg liempo (body part of pork meat)
- 3 cup water (enough to cover the meat)
- 2 piece star anise
- 1/4 cup lime juice or lemonsito
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- pinch black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
- 1/3 tsp sesame oil
- pinch black pepper
- 1/4 bunch pechay baguio
- 1 tbsp fried garlic ( to sprinkle on the food)
- Fry first the liempo.
- When the meat turns brown, add water, soy sauce, sugar, star anise, lime extract, oyster sauce.
- Simmer for about 5 to 25 min until meat is tender.
- Add pechay baguio and cornstarch to thicken the sauce.
- Sprinkle with fried garlic.
- Serve with rice.
