Popcorn Crumble Recipe
- 2 quart. unsalted popped corn
- 1 1/3 c. pecan halves
- 2/3 c. sliced almonds
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- Mix popcorn and nuts in a large bowl and set aside.
- Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup in heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil; stir constantly and cook to 300 degrees using a candy thermometer.
- Add in vanilla and very quickly pour over popcorn and nut mix.
- Stir to coat well and spread on a greased cookie sheet to harden.
- When mix is cooled break into serving size pcs.
- Yield about 1 lb..
