Tomato Gravy

  1. Save tomato cans and fill with water.
  2. In a Dutch oven, place oil and heat.
  3. Put vegetables in and saute until clear.
  4. Add flour to pot and fry until brown.
  5. In a blender or food processor, put in tomato products.
  6. When blended, put in pot and cook for about 15 minutes.
  7. Put water from cans in pot, plus add about 1 cup more (until right consistency, not too thick or thin).
  8. Salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Let cook for 1 hour.
