Blackened Beef Brisket Recipe
- 3 lb well trimmed beef brisket - (to 4)
- 1 Tbsp. cajun seasoning (or possibly warm/spicy seasoned salt)
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp warm sauce
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Rub surface of brisket with seasoning.
- Brown in warm cast-iron skillet with vegetable oil spray.
- Place brisket on rectangle of heavy aluminum foil.
- Combine water and warm sauce and spoon over brisket.
- Seal foil and place in baking pan.
- Bake about 30 to 45 min per lb.
- at 325 degrees or possibly till meat is tender.
- Remove from oven and let stand 15 to 30 min for ease in slicing.
- This recipe yields 9 servings;
cajun seasoning, water, warm sauce
