Soy Marinated Chicken

  1. Cut chicken breasts diagonally and place in a single layer in the bottom of an oven-proof dish.
  2. Pour in soy sauce.
  3. Squeeze the juice from half the orange onto the chicken.
  4. Cut the other half of the orange into wedges and arrange on top of the chicken.
  5. Cover and marinate for several hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350F When oven is heated, remove cover from chicken, flip chicken, and bake 20 minutes (uncovered).
  7. Flip again and bake another 15 minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, trim woody ends from asparagus.
  9. Heat a little oil or butter in a heavy skillet.
  10. Saute the asparagus, adding the white pepper and lemon juice a little at a time to glaze the asparagus.
  11. Cook until desired texture is reached.
  12. This will probably not take more than 10 minutes.
  13. Serve chicken and orange wedges on top of asparagus.
