Spicy Sausage Awesome Sauce with Garden Veggies and Pasta

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add diced green onions and minced garlic cloves.
  3. Saute 4 minutes.
  4. Add diced green pepper.
  5. Cook another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add vodka sauce (after youve poured out the sauce, shake the 1/4-1/2 cup water in the vodka sauce jar to empty out all of the yummy sauce.)
  7. While cooking the sauce mixture, in a separate skillet (or the same one, but earlier) brown sausage.
  8. Then remove the sausage to de-grease on a paper towel.
  9. Then add it to the sauce along with the red pepper flakes.
  10. Heat to just boiling.
  11. Reduce heat.
  12. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  13. Boil your choice of pasta noodle according to directions.
  14. Gluten free like us?
  15. Rice noodles, baby.
  16. For rice noodles, especially, adding a teaspoon or two of olive oil after draining can help with stickiness.
  17. Everybody else try some angel hair.
  18. Drain pasta, then plate it, add sauce, and sprinkle with cheese if you wanna.
  19. Good stuff.
