Spicy Sausage Awesome Sauce with Garden Veggies and Pasta
- 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 whole Green Onions And Stems, Diced
- 4 cloves Fresh Garlic, Minced
- 2 whole Fresh Green Peppers, Gutted And Diced
- 1 jar Vodka Sauce, 25 Oz.
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 log Pork Sausage, 1 Pound (I Found A Great Local Free Range Source, But I Don't Discriminate Against Jimmy Dean And His Friends)
- 2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes, Or To Taste (optional)
- 1/2 pounds Dried Pasta (your Choice)
- 1 cup Mozzarella/provolone Blend Or Your Choice Cheese, Parmesan A Good Substitute
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
- Add diced green onions and minced garlic cloves.
- Saute 4 minutes.
- Add diced green pepper.
- Cook another 3-4 minutes.
- Add vodka sauce (after youve poured out the sauce, shake the 1/4-1/2 cup water in the vodka sauce jar to empty out all of the yummy sauce.)
- While cooking the sauce mixture, in a separate skillet (or the same one, but earlier) brown sausage.
- Then remove the sausage to de-grease on a paper towel.
- Then add it to the sauce along with the red pepper flakes.
- Heat to just boiling.
- Reduce heat.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Boil your choice of pasta noodle according to directions.

- Rice noodles, baby.
- For rice noodles, especially, adding a teaspoon or two of olive oil after draining can help with stickiness.
- Everybody else try some angel hair.
- Drain pasta, then plate it, add sauce, and sprinkle with cheese if you wanna.
