Fried Pizza Dough with Garlic Butter
- 2 cups Canola Oil
- 1 whole Batch (Enough For A 16-inch Pizza) Your Favorite Pizza Dough
- 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 1/2 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Heat oil on medium heat until it reaches about 350 degrees F.
- Meanwhile, roll out dough.
- Shower cutting board with some flour, then lay out dough and roll it out into about 1/2 inch thick.
- Using bench scraper or knife, cut dough into strips, then slice strips in half.
- Aim for about 3 or 4 inches in length.
- Add butter and garlic powder to a bowl.
- Melt in microwave, or on a pot on the stove.
- Once oil is heated, add a handful of dough strips and cook for about 23 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper-lined plate to let any excess oil drain.
- Brush some garlic butter onto fried pizza dough, and shower with Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat.
- Go buy or make some more pizza dough, because these things are so addicting, you will want more.
