Deep Dish Sweet Potato Pie Recipe
- 1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1/3 c. each firmly packed brown sugar">sugar & granulated sugar">sugar
- 1 c. cool butter
- 1 c. minced nuts
- 1 (16 ounce.) can sweet potatoes (2 c.)
- 1 (14 ounce.) can Eagle Brand lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon each allspice and salt
- In bowl combine flour and sugars, cut in butter till crumbly.
- Add in nuts.
- Reserving 1 c. crumb mix, press remainder firmly on bottom and half way up sides of 12 x 7 inch baking dish.
- In large bowl beat potatoes, lowfat milk, Large eggs and spice.
- Pour into prepared dish.
- Top with crumb mix.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 55 min or possibly till golden.
- Chill leftovers.
