Barbecue Beef Calzone
- 16 cups ground beef
- 7 cups onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 7 cups green pepper, chopped
- 10 cups Kraft BarBQ Sauce
- 50 pieces proofed Pizza Dough, cut into 140 g pieces
- 14 cups Kraft Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
- Brown ground beef in stock pot over medium-high heat; drain.
- Add onions and peppers.
- Cook 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Drain if necessary.
- Return to heat.
- Stir IN barbecue sauce.
- Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
- Place one piece of pizza dough on lightly floured surface; roll out to 7-inch circle with rolling pin.
- Repeat with remaining dough pieces.
- Place 140 g meat and 40 g cheese on one half of each dough circle; fold remaining half of dough over filling to completely enclose filling.
- Crimp edge of dough with fork to seal.
- Place on full sheet pan (or half sheet pan for trial recipe).
- Bake at 400F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
