Fudge Walnut Cookies
- 5 12 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup baking cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 cups shortening
- 3 13 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
- 4 teaspoons vanilla
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 cup confectioners' sugar
- sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- Cream together shortening and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Blend in cottage cheese and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mixing well with spoon.
- Stire in walnuts and chocolate pieces.
- Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, on greased baking sheets.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until slight imprint remains wihen lightly touched with finger.
- Roll cookies in confectioner's sugar.
