Filipino Adobo-Q Chicken

  1. COMBINE all the ingredients in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, turning the chicken once or twice.
  3. REMOVE the chicken from the liquid and set aside.
  4. Simmer the sauce gently until reduced to about 1 cup.
  5. Heat the broiler.
  6. BROIL (or grill if you feel like it) the chicken about 5 minutes a side until the skin is brown and crisp.
  7. Serve the chicken with the adobo sauce and white rice.
