Pasta with Stir Fried Beef
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 2 tsp. rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 3/4 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into thin slices Whole Foods 1 lb For $7.99 thru 02/09
- 1 cup each: chopped onion, broccoli, snow peas, red pepper and mushrooms
- 2/3 pkg. (500g) capellini
- Stir together broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar and sesame oil.
- Whisk in cornstarch until smooth.
- Set aside.
- Cook garlic and ginger in oil in a wok or large frypan over medium-high heat for 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Add beef and stir fry for 3 minutes.
- Remove from pan and set aside.
- Add vegetables and stir fry for 5 -7 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Add sauce mixture and beef.
- Bring to boil and cook 3 - 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain and serve with stir fry.
