Stuffed Pears Recipe Sandsquish

  1. Mix almonds, macaroon crumbs, 2 tablespoons brown sugar and orange rind.
  2. Cut pears in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. Lightly fill each half with crumb mixture.
  4. Put 2 halves together and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Arrange in 8-inch square dish; sprinkle with remaining sugar and sherry.
  6. Cover with wax paper.
  7. Microwave with 650 watts for 4 minutes; rotate dish 1/2 turn.
  8. Microwave with 650 watts for 3 to 5 minutes more.
