Tarte Tatin-style Rice Cooker Cake with Canned Peaches

  1. Thinly slice the peaches.
  2. Grease the surface of the bowl inside the rice cooker with butter.
  3. Line the peach slices along the bottom of the bowl.
  4. If you have any left over, chop up the rest into small bites.
  5. Break an egg into a bowl and whisk.
  6. Mix in the sugar, followed by the vegetable oil, milk, and syrup.
  7. Combine well.
  8. Add the pancake mix and lightly mix in cutting motion.
  9. Combine the remaining peaches from Step 1, and mix again.
  10. Turn the rice cooker on, with its regular settings.
  11. The cake is done once the rice cooker has worked through its regular course and a bamboo skewer pushed through comes out clean.
