Glazed Strawberry Bars
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar, divided
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine flour and baking soda.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, 1 cup sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture, mixing well after each addition; press onto bottom of 15x10x1-inch pan.
- Bake 15 to 17 min.
- or until lightly browned.
- Cool completely.
- Meanwhile, beat pudding mix and milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min.
- (Pudding will be thick.)
- Stir in COOL WHIP until blended.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Mix dry gelatin mix, cornstarch and remaining sugar in medium saucepan.
- Gradually stir in water.
- Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
- Cook and stir 2 to 3 min.
- or until thickened.
- Cool 10 min.
- Spread pudding mixture over crust; cover with strawberries.
- Drizzle with glaze.
- Refrigerate 4 hours.
