Meat Cakes Recipe
- 200 g (1/2 lb.) cooked meat
- 1 slice of onion
- 200 g (1/2 lb.) mashed potatoes
- 2 teaspoon minced parsley
- Healthy pinch of herb
- Salt & pepper
- Beaten egg
- To Coat: Beaten egg and bread crumbs
- To Fry: Lard
- Garnish: Parsley
- Remove any fat from meat.
- Mix meat and onion.
- Mix all ingredients except egg together.
- Bind with a little beaten egg.
- Form into a roll on a floured board.
- Cut into 8 pcs and shape into cake (1/2") thick.
- Coat with egg crumbs.
- Fry in warm oil till both sides are brown.
- Drain and serve garnished with parsley.
