Barley Bake Recipe

  1. Saute/fry' dry barley, onion and almonds in 6 Tbsp.
  2. butter till barley is turning golden brown.
  3. If using fresh mushrooms, saute/fry' in 2 Tbsp.
  4. butter.
  5. Add in to barley mix.
  6. Heat chicken broth and onion soup mix till soup mix is dissolved.
  7. Combine all ingredients; pour into 3 qt baking dish.
  8. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour stirring once during baking time.
  9. Yield: 10 servings.
