Simple Meatballs
- 6 slices White Bread
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 pound Minced Beef
- 2 Onions
- 1 Egg
- Salt, To Your Taste
- 1 pinch Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Nutmeg
- Break down the bread into bread crumbs.
- Add the milk and leave the bread to soak.
- Press the garlic cloves.
- Put the minced beef in a deep bowl.
- Dice the onions and add to the bowl with the beef.
- Add the egg and beat the egg in the bowl.
- Add the soaked bread crumbs, pressed garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Mix it all thoroughly and beat the beef against the bowl walls to make it smooth.
- Form medium size meatballs (about 2 inches in diameter).
- Place them into a deep pre-oiled roasting tin and cover with foil.
- Cook the meatballs at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 40 minutes.
