Granny Apple and Cranberry Salad
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/4-inch cubes (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans, dry-roasted
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients.
- Serve immediately for peak flavor.
- You can chop the apples up to 2 hours in advance.
- Stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice to keep them from turning brown.
