Java-Splashed Hot Chocolate

• 2 cups whole milk
• 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
• 4 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares or 4 white chocolate, 4 oz
• sugar, as desired (optional)

1. Chop chocolate.
2. Pour milk into a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
3. Stir in coffee granules.
4. Bring to a boil, stirring often until coffee is dissolved.
5. Whisk chocolate into milk until melted.
6. sweeten if desired.
7. Pour into mugs.
8. Top with miniature marshmallows or fresh whipped cream, if you wish.
