Ham-Broccoli Bake
- 3 large slices sourdough bread
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. finely chopped, cooked ham or canned luncheon meat
- 1/2 bunch fresh broccoli, finely chopped (2 c.)
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 or 3 dashes hot pepper sauce
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- Trim crusts from bread.
- Arrange slices in a greased shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Mix ham, broccoli, onion and 1 cup of the cheese.
- Beat eggs slightly with mustard.
- Beat in hot pepper sauce and milk.
- Add to ham mixture, mixing well.
- Spread in a buttered baking dish.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 50 to 60 minutes or until well browned and firm.
- Let stand a few minutes before serving.
