Cheesy Cauliflower Italiano
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. fresh cauliflower, cleaned and cut vertically into thin slices (about 4 c.)
- 1 small onion, sliced thin
- 1/4 c. dry white wine (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. butter, cut in small pieces
- 1 c. ripe olives (slices)
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 c. Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- paprika
- 3/4 c. milk (add more if not using wine)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine flour, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer 1/2 of each in the following order:
- cauliflower, onion, flour mixture, butter pieces, olives, Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layering with second half of ingredients, adding parsley after olives. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Combine wine and milk.
- Pour over and bake, uncovered, 40 to 45 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
