Pepsi Pulled Pork
- 3 pounds Pork Roast
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Flakes
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3 cups Pepsi
- 1 jar (425ml Size) Barbecue Sauce
- Store Bought Hamburger Buns, To Serve
- Set the roast inside a slow cooker.
- Add the spices.
- Add the Pepsi.
- Cover and turn on the low setting.
- It will take 8 to 10 hours depending on the size of your roast.
- (Mine was small so it took about 8 hours.)
- When it looks done, pull it apart.
- I did it right in the slow cooker.
- Youre not cutting so its fine to do it this way and therell be less cleanup later, which is nice.
- Take two forks and start pulling the meat apart.
- Its really easy to do; dont be intimidated by this step.
- It pretty much just falls apart anyway.
- Now add your barbecue sauce.
- I covered it back up and cooked it for another 20 or so minutes to let the flavors of the sauce soak into the meat.
- Now you can start piling the meat on burger buns.
- Serve with a smile and about a thousand napkins.
- So good but SO messy.
