Fudgy Brownie Cutouts

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil; spray foil with vegetable cooking spray.
  3. In small mixer bowl, stir together granulated sugar, cocoa and flour.
  4. Add applesauce, egg whites and vanilla; beat until well blended.
  5. Stir in nuts.
  6. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 25 minutes or until edges are firm.
  8. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  9. Place in freezer about 15 minutes for easier cutting.
  10. Lift brownies from pan using sides of foil; carefully peel off foil.
  11. With small cookie cutters, cut brownies into desired shapes or cut into squares.
  12. Sprinkle powdered sugar over top.
  13. Makes 16 brownies.
