Heart And Healthy Stir-Fry(Serve Over Hot Cooked Rice.)
- 1 lb. lean beef, cut in small cubes
- 1/2 lb. broccoli
- 1 medium onion, cut in small pieces
- 1/2 lb. carrots, cut in small pieces
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- Combine water, soy sauce, cornstarch and sugar.
- Heat 1/2 of oil in skillet; add vegetables and stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes or a little longer.
- Remove vegetables to another bowl.
- Add rest of oil and meat, not more than 1/3 at a time.
- Stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes or until meat is done.
- Add soy mixture and cook until thick and clear.
- Add vegetables and garlic powder until heated. Serve over cooked rice.
