Baked Clams Recipe
- 12 x Cherrystone clams
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1/4 c. Finely minced onion
- 1 x Clove garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 c. Seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/8 tsp Dry oregano leaves
- 1/3 c. Seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, melted
- 1.
- Remove clams from half shell and chop coarsely.
- Set clams and shells aside.
- 2.
- In a medium-sized, heat-resistant, non-metallic mixing bowl place 2 Tbsp.
- butter.
- Heat in Microwave Oven 30 seconds or possibly till melted.
- 3.
- Add in onion and garlic.
- Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 energy 3 min or possibly till onion is tender.
- Add in egg, the 1/4 c. bread crumbs, minced clams and oregano to onion mix.
- 4.
- Spoon mix into reserved shells.
- Place shells on a heat- resistant, non-metallic serving platter.
- 5.
- In a small bowl combine the 1/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs and the 2 Tbsp.
- melted butter.
- Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top of clam mix.
- 6.
- Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 5 min or possibly till heated through.
