Cheeseburger Loaf

  1. Cut loaf of bread in half.
  2. Scoop out center leaving it hollowed to fill with meat.
  3. Set bread aside.
  4. In skillet, add Extra Virgin Olive Oil and onions.
  5. Cook until translucent.
  6. Add ground beef, oregano, salt and pepper.
  7. Cook 7-10 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Let cool enough to add the rest of ingredients.
  10. Add bread (crumble as desired), dry mustard, parsley, egg, and cheese.
  11. Mix together.
  12. Spoon mixture into each half of bread loaf packing lightly.
  13. Replace halves together, and secure with toothpicks.
  14. Brush top of bread with butter and wrap bread in aluminum foil.
  15. Bake in oven at 400F for 10 minutes then loosen foil and continue to bake additional 10 minutes.
  16. Make Cheese Soup according to directions on can, but thicker in consistency.
  17. You want to use it as a sauce, not a soup.
  18. Slice bread into slices and spoon cheese sauce over each slice.
