Baked Ziti
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3- 1/2 cups Dry Ziti Or Penne
- 1 jar Marinara Sauce (23.5oz Jar)
- 1 cup Whole Milk Ricotta
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella
- 1/2 cups Shredded Parmesan
- 1/2 teaspoons Sea Salt Plus Extra For The Pasta Water
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Basil (or Use Fresh - Even Better!)
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and coat the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish with the olive oil.
- Bring a large pot of water with 2 tablespoons of salt to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions for al dente (about 10 minutes).
- Drain it.
- Mix the marinara, ricotta, 3/4 cup mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, 1/2 teaspoon salt and the basil together in a large bowl.
- Add the pasta, gently folding it in to coat completely.
- Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, top it with the remaining cheeses (and more basil if you want).
- Bake it for about 20 minutes, or until the baked ziti is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Serves 6 and reheated leftovers great!
