Lemon-Walnut Tea Loaf
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon zest
- 1/4 cup lemon juice Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Combine flour and baking powder; set aside.
- Beat margarine and sugar in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.
- Blend in lemon zest and juice.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating on low speed after each addition just until blended.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Spread into greased 8x4-inch loaf pan.
- Bake 55 min.
- to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 min.
- ; remove to wire rack.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into 14 slices to serve.
