Franks And Corn Fritters

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, chili powder (optional) and seasoned salt.
  2. Combine the egg, milk and melted Crisco.
  3. Add to dry ingredients with the drained corn and chopped frankfurters.
  4. Stir just until moistened.
  5. Drop batter by tablespoons into heated shortening, a few at a time, until golden brown (about 3 to 4 minutes), turning once.
  6. Drain on paper toweling.
  7. Serve with catsup and mustard.
  8. Makes about 24 fritters.
