Chop Suey
- 1/2 c. boiled pork
- 1/2 c. boiled, boned chicken
- 1/2 c. shrimp, shelled
- 1/2 c. head cabbage
- 1/4 kilogram snow peas
- 1/4 k. string beans
- 2 small bell peppers
- 2 medium size carrots
- 1/4 k. dried Chinese mushrooms
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- Cut the pork and chicken
- in cubes.
- Cut the cabbage, string beans, pepper and carrots in slices at least 2-inches long.
- Cut snow peas in halves.
- Saute the pork, chicken and lastly add the vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth into vegetable mixture when vegetables are half cooked.
- Prepare in a shallow dish cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar and salt; mix thoroughly until mixture comes to a thin sauce.
- Pour the sauce into vegetables and mix lightly, being careful not to overcook greens. When sauce thickens, remove from fire.
