Star Spangled Snack

  1. Stir 1 cup boiling water into each flavor of gelatin in separate bowls 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
  2. Stir 1/2 cup cold water into each bowl.
  3. Pour into separate 8-inch square pans.
  4. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm.
  5. Cut gelatin in each pan into 1/2-inch cubes.
  6. Spoon blue gelatin cubes evenly into 8 dessert dishes.
  7. Top with layers of whipped topping and red gelatin cubes.
  8. Garnish with additional whipped topping, if desired.
  9. Flatten marshmallows; cut into star shapes.
  10. Moisten slightly with water; sprinkle with colored sugar.
  11. Place on top of desserts.
  12. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
