Garden Veggie Bagel Shmagel
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 2 1/2 cups white flour
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped spinach
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 3/4 cup water
- Garnishes: sesame seeds, minced dried garlic or poppy seeds
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine dry ingredients and then wet.
- Mix, then knead by hand.
- Form into ping pong ball size pieces.
- Flatten, then poke hole in center.
- Form into bagel shapes.
- Bake for approximately 45 to 50 minutes.
- Cool.
- Serve.
- To garnish, spray finished bagels with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds, minced dried garlic or poppy seeds
