Best Chunky Guacamole
- 3 each tomatillos
- 1/2 cup onions chopped
- 1/2 cup italian plum (roma) tomatoes chopped
- 4 tablespoons cilantro freshly chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
- salt to taste
- 2 each avocados ripe and peeled, and coarsely mashed
- 2 each jalapeno pepper seeded and minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced, or as needed
- Remove the papery husk from the tomatillos.
- Wash well, pat dry, core and finely chop.
- Stir together the tomatillos, onion, and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl until well mixed.
- Serve the chunky guacamole with homemade or store-bought tortilla chips.
